Guidelines for Use of Space

Please carefully review the following to learn about the use of the Robinson SPACE You will find a link to the Request Form here.

Before submitting your request, please review the calendar to see if the dates and times you have in mind aren’t already booked.  For the best chance of booking the SPACE when you would like, submit your request 4-6 weeks prior to your anticipated date.

Please allow 3-5 days for team to review and respond to your request. Request forms are reviewed in the order they arrive. Submitting a request does not guarantee that your meeting will be booked, but we will make every effort to do so, so long as certain criteria are met.

Important Things to Note:

  • All meetings must be free to attend and not open to the general public (RSVP only or private).

  • If you will be selling a product or service or engaging in solicitation of any kind, we will not book your meeting.

  • Unfortunately, we are not fully ADA-compliant at the moment. Our location is on the second floor of an office building only accessible by stairs.

  • Meetings will be reviewed for scheduling by our SPACE Coordinators. Meetings that meet the following criteria will be prioritized:

    • It promotes the SPACE’s mission and vision of a transformative Los Angeles.

    • The meeting serves the interests of historically oppressed communities.

    • It has wide appeal and will help prepare and mobilize people for action.

Best Practices for Filling Out The Request Form:

  • Be Specific: list the day, date, and time slot of your preferred dates, (e.g., Friday, October 12, 6-9pm).

  • Be Detailed: a 4-5 sentence description helps us understand your meeting.

  • Be Flexible and Patient: There is often some back-and-forth communication that happens as we work together to find a time and day that works for SPACE and for you.

  • Sliding scale donations rates are suggested, but not necessary (negotiable, especially for groups with few resources): $10-$75 per hour
